The Nationals used a four-run fifth inning and a three-run sixth to power their way to an 11-4 win over the Mets on the Fourth of July. The teams will meet again tonight at 7:05 p.m. for the series finale.
After Jose Reyes led off the game with a home run the Nats got on the board in the third with an RBI pop-up single by Bryce Harper that just landed into the outfield over the outstretched glove of Reyes that scored Jose Lobaton. Daniel Murphy followed with a single into left-center that scored Michael Taylor.
