The Nationals fell to the Reds 6-2 in the three-game series finale Sunday afternoon at Nationals Park. It was Tanner Roark’s third bad outing in a row as the right-hander gave up five runs in the first inning (six total). Those six runs came on nine hits as his record now drops to 6-5.

Bryce Harper went 3-for-3 with a  double, a walk and a sliding catch.

The Nats got their only two runs on a  Michael Taylor two-run shot in the fourth inning.

Tonight is the series we’ve all been waiting for as the Nats welcome the Cubs to DC. The DC vs. the defending champions. Eddie Butler (3-2, 4.19 ERA) from my college Radford University against Gio Gonzalez (7-1, 2.96 ERA).
