Trea Turner’s bobblehead night was supposed to take place on Friday but mother nature had other ideas. Instead, the giveaway was pushed back to the makeup game which took place Sunday night in the second part of a day/night doubleheader. Game one was slated to start at 1:35 p.m. while the second game was at 7:05. After the Nats dropped the first game at 4:38 p.m. the ballpark staff was faced with the daunting task of getting the park ready for the second game.
Gates opened at 6:10 p.m. and a wild stampede of fans were waiting outside the ballpark, hoping to be one of the first 25,000 fans that will get to take home this souvenir. Do you ever go to a theme park, want to go on the big roller coaster but are stuck in a long and never-ending line that takes for over an hour until you finally get on the ride? That’s pretty much what this was.
