Here are some more updates from West Palm Beach, Florida from the weekend:

Feb. 17: The position players reported for camp on Friday including Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman. One storyline entering the season is Trea Turner moving from centerfield to shortstop. His double play partner will be Daniel Murphy.

“Trea and I will do some work together. We worked together already. We worked together last spring training early and then we came up in the season.. we would take ground balls as well too. We’re not foreign to each other,” said Daniel Murphy.

Feb. 18: This was the first Spring Training practice that was open to the public.

Bryce Harper spoke to the media and said that he felt good heading into the new season.

“I feel great. I feel really goo. I think I’m ready for this year and ready to hopefully stay on the field every single day. That’s the key: Staying not he field and playing 155 to 160 games,” Harper said. “That’s what I want to do. Just doing everything I can to get ready and still got six weeks down here. Stay on the same program I have been on home and hopefully play a few games here and get ready and get back up to Nats Park and get ready for this year.”

Feb. 19: First full squad workout of the season!

Feb. 20:

Feb. 21: The Nationals agreed to terms with catcher Matt Wieters, formerly with the Baltimore Orioles, to a two year $21 million deal with an opt-out option after the first year.
