Tanner Roark went seven innings allowing no runs on six hits with seven strikeouts on Saturday afternoon at Nats Park. The Nationals offense gave him all the help he needed for his fifth win with a 8-0 win over the Phillies. Roark improved his record to 5-4.
The Nats got the scoring started with a four run second. With two on, Stephen Drew singled into right field to score Wilson Ramos. Tanner Roark hit a sacrifice bunt to send Anthony Rendon home. Michael Taylor belted a double to bring home Drew. Then Bryce Harper lined a single into centerfield that scored Roark.
